After our tour at Grand Design we headed for the border, crossed over and stayed at the Windsor Walmart location at 7100 Tecumseh Rd East. We called ahead to make sure it was Ok to park here and were told that it wasn't a problem just please park on the perimeter. So we did.
In the morning we woke up to find that overnight the whole parking lot had been repainted...excepted for the spaces we were covering. If they had told us that we could have parked elsewhere. I felt kind of bad.
We left here and headed to Bronte Creek Provincial Park where we will stay a couple days to transfer over everything from the Surveyor to the new 367BHS! So excited!

Walmart boondocking through Indiana
After leaving Mammoth Caves National Park Campground we headed to Grand Design for a factory tour. The other day our tour got switched to Monday so we had a bit of extra time to get there so we drove extra slow, didn't rush and gradually got there staying at Walmarts a long the way.
We stayed at Walmart in Seymour Indiana at 1600 Tipton St and it had a new ALDI going in across the road. I fell in Love with Aldi when we were in Florida.
Then we slowly made our way to Kokomo Indiana at 1920 Markland Ave for another night at Walmart.
We had planned on staying in Goshen but when we arrived and asked them where they would like us to park the lady said, "I'm really sorry but recently we changed our policy at this location and I have to tell you, you can't park here" so we continued on into Elkhart. We ended up at the 30830 Old US 20 Walmart for the night. It wasn't the greatest as there were a lot of trucks but it did the job. I guess it was busier then normal since the other locations nearby are banning over night parking.
Now we are up and headed to Grand Design for our tour of the factory where our new 367BHS which just came off the assembly line! We missed seeing ours by a day or so as ours arrived this morning at the dealership in Ontario. We will pick it up on the 20th!!!

Gardendale, Alabama, Walmart for the night
This Gardendale Alabama Walmart at 890 Odum Rd was a great place to stay for the night.
We parked up from the gas station on the side of the driveway where the trucks were parked. Then we went in to ask where they would like us to park to stay for the night. They normally ask people to park on the other side of the building but they said if we were already parked here we were fine to stay where we were. Our slides easily opened up to the grass hill behind us as we only have slides on one side. The door did open up to the driveway so we did have to use extra caution when entering and exiting. We had cars passing us all night but it wasn't too loud and we had Walmart Wifi from here.
This is our second time passing through Alabama and we still can't add it to our travel map.
Next time we really have to work on changing that. This time we were passing through to head straight to Mammoth Caves National Park from Florida. We only add to our map when we stay somewhere or experience something with in the state. Some people would classify staying at Walmart as done, or even just passing through but we like to have a memory of something we have done in the State before we add the State sticker.
As you can see there are many places on our map we have travelled through getting from one place to the other but if we just drove through it's still empty. Hopefully the next time we are in Alabama we can have time to actually do something here and check it off our map.

One last Tallahassee, Florida stop...
While visiting with our friends in Tallahassee we took a walk at J R Alford Greenway Park .
After crossing above the tracks the path winds around a lake. We spotted a huge alligator here but he doesn't look that big in the picture.
Around the lake there are what they call fishing fingers. Places built for fisherman to fish from.
Aayla examines a snail she found.
Diesel stops for a drink.
There just happens to be a playground halfway around the lake.
Afterwards we went to Merv's and Ian ordered something which I can't remember the name. He looks totally unimpressed because this sandwich is too big to eat really. It literally had a burger between two grilled cheese sandwiches. He ate about 1/2 of it. Who even thinks these things up?
We then headed to Tallahassee Fun Station and the girls had a blast! I don't personally like arcades but the girls had so much fun here and seeing their excitement as they scored armfuls of tickets was worth it!
Aayla was tickled pink she won a watch in one of the games.
Since we are just passing through Tallahassee to say good bye to our friends we stayed at Walmart for the night. Thank you Tallahassee Walmart at 4021 Lagniappe Way!
There is a fairly new trail here that we walked. It's a new, safe way to cross over and above the railway tracks below via a big bridge and elevated walkway through the canopy of the trees.

We headed to Arin and Dawns for one last campfire with them and of course found some treefrogs.

Overnighting at Walmart in Bushnell, Florida
Thank you Walmart! We love to use Walmart as a quick overnight spot.
It drives me bonkers to have to pay $20-$50 a night to just park and get up and leave... I much prefer to go to Walmart for free and then go in the store and spend that money plus usually more on groceries and supplies as a thank you! More and more towns are creating bylaws that do not allow this but I am ever so thankful that the majority of Walmarts still allow us to overnight. Thank you Walmart!

Overnight at Palmetto, Florida, Walmart
We had an extra night between leaving Peace River and our new reservation at Terra Ceia RV Park and stayed at Walmart in Palmetto. We use RV Parky (mainly use the App) a lot to find over night spots on travel days. We always call to confirm with the location before we arrive as we want to hear it right from the store to ensure we are allowed and are parked where they want us to park.
When I called Terra Ceia to see if they had room and we would come a day early I was told they were full and they had no overflow area. So imagine my surprise when we arrived and I saw an over flow parking area. It's hard to see the sign but it states on it "Overflow area".
Not sure why we couldn't park there but glad we had a Walmart to fall back on until it was check in time here at Terra Ceia.
We love using Walmarts when we are passing through areas. We hate to pay to basically just sleep somewhere. We can easily spend the night unplugged with our solar system. Plus staying a night at Walmart allows me to get some shopping done without making a special trip, thereby freeing up more time to explore or relax when we get to our destination. So Thank you once again Walmart! We certainly appreciate you!!!

Thank you Walmart of Lutz, Florida
Thank you Walmart for allowing us to spend the night in your parking lot. This location is in Lutz, Florida at 1575 Land O'Lakes Blvd.
This location had a huge parking lot. The store was so far off in the picture I had to take a picture with the road sign in the background so you could make out the store name.I use RV Parky to find possible Walmart locations to over night at when needed. I always call to confirm with the location to make sure the App's info is correct as being woken up at 3:00 am and being asked to move with young children does not seem like fun to me.
After a wonderful night here, surprisingly it wasn't too noisy being so busy and so close to the road; we are off to the Fulltime Families Rally...whoooo hoooo. We couldn't get the extra night at the rally so we are very thankful to Walmart for this over night stop.

Walmart Lenoir City TN and Camper Bowling
I have said it before but I will say it again...I am ever so THANKFUL that many Walmarts still allow overnight RV parking.
This Walmart in Lenoir City Tennessee was located at 911 Highway 321. They were very pleasant when I called to ask permission and again when I went in to confirm the parking area when we arrived. We even had internet from the parking lot where we were parked which was an added bonus.
We are very thankful to have the ability to stop and sleep at Walmarts on travel days. Parks are so expensive and basically all we do is shop and sleep while here so paying for a park on travel days is a hard bullet to bite.
It was a long day of travel and Ian hopped to get the satellite set up but apparently the companies have started to block reception of our Canadian accounts while travelling. Boo hoo.
We went in to Walmart and did a little bit of shopping and then had a few games of bowling before bed.
Tomorrow we hit the road for another 7 hour travel day but we will arrive in Tallahassee and the long days will all be worth it.
